Experts are usually brought in to provide an acceptable way to tell your
boss what you don't want to have to tell him. 

Experts for such purposes are usually well chosen (hence the new verb 'to
huttonise..')

Is there any chance that someone from ICTE might be asked to be on the 
independent panel?  Maybe we should be pushing for Margaret or Joe to be

appointed.  Or do people feel that it'll be a whitewash and we shouldn't

have anything to do with it?  I'm sure the Government are aware that 
unless there are genuine IT experts as well as the usual retired 
politicos, the panel is open to the charge of lacking the required 
technical knowledge...
