I really wish I could say that it shocked me. Everything I've heard from
Roche to date on this issue suggested that he is very firmly in favour
of electronic voting (not of itself a bad thing), and that the "problem"
is simply one of public perception.

He has sought to give the impression that the problem is only with
people who don't understand it, and that the he _does_ understand it.
(Whereas Cullen never seriously attempted to convince anyone that he
understood it).
