While I don't disagree with anything in Colm's letter,
I do wonder if it is wise to send it in the name of the ICTE
(of which I am not a member).
It seems to me the effect will be to make the Minister
an implacable foe of the ICTE.
I would suggest that the letter should be sent
in Colm's name, perhaps with a small number of other names.
In politics it is not enough to be right,
one has also to leave enough room for other people to be right too.
