This article also shows how badly the powers that be want to prevent 
people from knowing what really is going on. Short story sweet, Cisco 
routers were thought to impervious to hacking(and believe me, their code 
is a WHOLE lot better than any election machine vendors) and now has 
been shown to be 'hackable' (though the 'fix' was released in April; did 
it get applied to your network?).

The above post is significant in that it shows how something thought by 
the industry to be "secure" wasn't--and worse still, that the relevant 
companies sought to keep the vulnerability under wraps even though they 
knew about it.
