Bruce Schneier's comments re: all-postal voting demonstrate how 
important it is to have a thorough understanding of end-to-end 
vulnerabilities in any election system, not just the technology parts.  
Too many technically-oriented people have little understanding of the 
facts of election manipulation strategies and techniques.  If you 
haven't seen or experienced this kind of thing, it's easy not to realise 
it exists.  Most technical specialists have not participated personally 
in inner-sanctum political election strategy where dirty tricks of 
various kinds are discussed or implemented.
