as in forwarding packets or slowness on the vty?  if the latter, and 
there's nothing else obvious going on, it might be useful to enable CoPP 
before doing any serious problem diagnosis.  IOS doesn't deal with traffic 
to the host (or RP if you're on a hardware-forwarding box) very well.

The usual suspects in the process list are IP Input, and various bits of 
the bgp stack.
