How does it work around the Patriot Act? Unless Google have an 
amazing level of separation between their operations such that Google 
USA have no access to data in other countries, how could Google USA 
refuse a legitimate request by their own government for data?

Speaking of Google Apps - shame its no longer available for personal 
use.
